Drawing the Horse Exhibition

We thank you for your participation in this Drawing the Horse event and wish everyone a happy and healthy Year of the Horse!

Eimear Carson (梁安雅)

I am a 6.5 year old primary school girl. I’m learning Chinese and love Chinese. Arts and crafts are my favourite activities.

This is a colourful horse (彩马). In Chinese 彩 (colour) has a close pronunciation to 财 (fortune). Also 彩头 means good luck. So I made this colourful horse to wish everyone good luck and good fortune in 2026 the year of horse.

Maysee Wei (魏伯柠)

I’m 9 years old and I study at Victoria College Belfast.

The horse symbolizes success and achievement, as the Chinese idiom “马到功成” (mǎ dào gōng chéng) means “to achieve instant success” or “victory is won as soon as the horse arrives.” The image likely conveys a wish for quick and smooth success in endeavors.

Xiyan Wu (吴熙妍)

I’m a P3 pupil at St Ita’s Primary School.

My horse is the best horse in the world because it can fly with wings. Happy 2026, the Year of Horse!!

Xiyue Wu (吴熙玥)

I’m a P6 pupil at St Ita’s Primary School.

A happy horse flying to welcome the Year of 2026. Good luck to myself and with all the best wishes to the people who were born in the Year of Horse. Wish you all have a lovely year.
