CNY2024 Year of The Dragon Celebration at Queen’s Launch Event

Venue: Blue Sky Room* and Staircase/Social space, ground floor, One Elmwood
Provisional Programme:
- Welcome guzheng music*
- Welcomes and greetings from students and staff*
- Cultural performances*
- Introduction to the CNY programme*
- Reception with hot finger buffet*
- Staff Choir (13:30-13:50, staircase and ground floor area)
- Dragon dance and parade** (13:50 – 14:15, from One Elmwood Sq to the Lanyon Building)
* These activities are taking place inside the room with a capacity of 70 max. So registration is required on the first come, first serve basis. Registration will be open on Monday 29th January 2024.
** The Dragon Dance and Parade activity depends on the weather condition on the day. We suggest that you wear warm and waterproof clothes for outdoor activities.
The Launch Event is followed by CNY Interactive Fair (14:00-17:00) on the left side of the ground floor of One Elmwood. No registration is required and feel free to bring your friends along. You are welcome to stay for a taste of the culture of celebrating Year of the Dragon.
