Research across the sub-disciplines of French, Irish, Spanish, and Portuguese, and the Centre for Translation and Interpreting (CTI), embraces literature, linguistics, translation, visual culture, digital cultures, socio-historical and practice-led research encompassing a range of theoretical perspectives with significant temporal breadth (from the Middle Ages to the present). Our vision for Modern Languages research is global and our investigations span Europe, the Americas, the Caribbean, Africa, China and the Middle East.
