The Main Library closes today, 6 July at 5.30pm. However, all members of the library may use the Seamus Heaney Library. It is open from 8.30am until 5.30pm Monday to Friday throughout July but please note that the issue desk and the SCCs close at 5 o’clock. The Seamus Heaney Library is also open on Saturday mornings from 9.00am until 12.30pm. The Medical, Biomedical and AFBI libraries are open as usual.
Until such time as the new library opens you will be able to access the material which was held in the Main and Science Libraries using a request service . You will be able to collect this material from the Seamus Heaney Library but please allow a couple of working days as a large amount of stock has already been moved or is in transit. You can check if the item has arrived by phoning the Heaney on 9097 3966.

As part of the move to the new Library, essential updates are required to the Library management system. Consequently, the Library catalogue, QCat, will be unavailable from Friday 10th July at 5.00pm to Wednesday 15h July. Access to electronic resources will be unaffected but you will not be able to link to them from QCat. If you wish to use QSearch, the Electronic Journals A-Z list or E-Books during this time, please access them from the Library home page at http://www.qub.ac.uk/directorates/InformationServices/TheLibrary/
