This training course, which complements ‘How to Write a Literature Review’ run by the Learning Development Service, explores how to make the best use of science and engineering databases to find relevant literature and how to make the best use RefWorks to manage references.

Content

  • Accessing and searching science and engineering databases including Compendex and the Web of Science
  • Accessing science and engineering e-journal articles
  • Creating a RefWorks account
  • Importing references into RefWorks
  • Organizing references in RefWorks
  • Using RefWorks to format citations and produce a bibliography in a Microsoft Word document
