The new Library is now open 8.30am-5.30pm Monday-Friday until 4 September and service points will be staffed from 09.00am – 5.00pm during this period. As direct access to books and journals is now possible, the book retrieval service has been withdrawn. Anyone planning to visit the Library should remember to bring their staff/student card as it will be required to gain access to the building.
The Library Catalogue now reflects new Library locations for books and journals. The designation College Park accompanied by the relevant floor number is used to differentiate the new Library from other Library locations.
Inter-Library loan items may now be collected at the Borrower Services Desk on the Ground Floor of the new Library.

While all the stock is in place, many other facilities will only become available gradually during August so your patience is requested. Access to stock (apart from Seamus Heaney Library items) and a loan service is available, but the PCs and wireless network are not yet operational. A lot of work remains to be done but we are well on track to meet the 7 September target date for full service availability and commencement of advertised opening hours.
All members of the library may continue to use the Seamus Heaney Library throughout the summer. It is open from 8.30am until 5.30pm Monday to Friday during July but please note that the issue desk and the SCCs close at 5.00pm. The Seamus Heaney Library is also open on Saturday mornings from 9.00am until 12.30pm. The Medical, Biomedical and AFBI libraries are open as usual.
