PsycINFO, the main bibliographic database for psychology, has been moved from OVID to EBSCOHost. PsycINFO contains nearly 2.4 million citations and summaries of scholarly journal articles, book chapters, books, and dissertations, all in psychology and related disciplines, dating as far back as the 1800s; 98 percent of the covered material is peer-reviewed.
EBSCOHost retains many of the features that will be familiar to OVID users, such as the choice of Basic and Advanced Searching, and the ability to create personal accounts in order to save searches, set up search alerts etc.
PsycINFO can be accessed via QCat, or QSearch (click on ‘Find Database’) and is available both on and off-campus.
