How To Find Out Your MAC Or Physical Address

MAC Or Physical Address On Your Windows PC

The MAC or physical address of your computer is a unique set of 6 hexidecimal values, this will identify your computer on the Queen’s network. To get your MAC address you can follow these steps.

IPConfig /All

1. Open up the run command by pressing  + R.
2. Type into the command box CMD and press return.
3. In the black box that appears type in ipconfig /all.
4. Now look for “Ethernet Adapter Local Area Connection”.
5. Your MAC or Physical Address is usually the 4th option down.

Alternatively

1. Open up the run command by pressing  + R.
2. Type into the command box CMD and press return.
3. In the black box that appears type in getmac.
4. Your Physical Address or MAC address will be displayed.
