Make A Local User Account Active On The AD

This has only been done in testing.

Apple copy local user account to ad account. Method 2

1. Add computer to AD and add print queues using separate      guides
2. Create a new local admin account
3. Log into new local admin account
4. Use Finder search for Users folder
5. Hold left Ctrl and click on local users folder
6. Hold left Ctrl and click on space in Users folder
7. Select paste
8. This will create a copy of the users files in a folder      called ‘name copy’
9. Rename this copied folder to ad username
10. Go to terminal
11. Run command
12. sudo chown –R staffnumber:”Domain Users”      /Users/staffnumber/
13. This will give permissions to use that file to the ad      user
14. Log off admin account
15. Sign in with staff number and password
16. Select Create Mobile account
17. It will ask to create a new Keychain Password. This is      the password of the local account.
18. The computer will login now and the desktop icons and      programs will all be the same as before.
