The Eutopia Arthouse Film Festival (EAFF) is a non-profit international film exhibition focused on fostering artistic exchange and development among young filmmakers. EAFF is organized by the Queen’s University Belfast, and supported by the 2024 Queen’s Annual Fund. This year, a series of screening events will take place in Belfast on May 1st and 2nd.
In 2024, we received a total of 517 film submissions from around the world. After careful evaluation, 75 films were awarded the honour of official selection and 30 films will screened in Queen’s Film Theatre and Queen’s Film Studio this year. Apart from film screening, EAFF also hold seminars such as ‘the Role of AI in Media and Creative Industries seminar’ with University College London. Our aim is to bridge film practice and academia so that more emerging filmmakers can benefit. Admission to the festival is free, but registration is required.
