The Northern Ireland Cultural Bridge Visual Arts Exhibition was successfully held in Belfast. The exhibition was hosted by Queen’s University Belfast and organized by the European Eutopia Cultural Studies Hub, supported by Eutopia Arthouse Film Festival with the aim of fostering intercultural dialogue and creating a platform for artistic exchange between East and West. Through diverse forms of visual expression, the exhibition sought to promote mutual understanding, cultural appreciation, and creative collaboration across different cultural traditions.
A total of 72 works were presented in this exhibition, covering a wide range of categories including film, AIGC works, photography, installation art, and illustration. Bringing together artists and creators from different countries and cultural backgrounds, the exhibition highlighted both the contemporary transformation of traditional artistic languages and the innovative possibilities of emerging technologies, particularly AIGC, in visual storytelling. Rich in form and theme, the exhibition reflected ongoing artistic explorations of cultural identity, historical memory, spatial imagination, and future-oriented aesthetics, while also demonstrating the unique role of visual art in cross-cultural communication.
During the exhibition, a panel review and exchange session was held, and several awards were presented to recognize outstanding achievements in artistic expression, cultural interpretation, and visual innovation. The award winners are as follows:
- Best Video Award
- Whispers of the Lagan — by Oliver Bennett (UK)
