The Eutopia Arthouse Film Festival (EAFF) is a non-profit international film exhibition focused on fostering artistic exchange and development among young filmmakers. EAFF is organized by the Queen’s University Belfast, and supported by the Queen’s Annual Fund.

From 12 to 13 March 2025, the 2nd Eutopia Arthouse Film Festival (EAFF) successfully concluded at the Grand Opera House in Belfast, UK. This year, the EAFF Organising Committee received 902 film submissions from over 40 countries and regions worldwide. Among them, 821 films met the selection criteria, and after three rounds of evaluation, 40 outstanding works were screened in Belfast.

The two-day screening event attracted nearly one hundred film enthusiasts, with director teams from countries including the UK, China, Italy, Ireland, Japan, and the United States attending in person for post-screening discussions with the audience.

Continuing its strong academic orientation, this year’s festival featured the 2nd EAFF Cultural Forum, held at Queen’s University Belfast, with a series of panel discussions including 『Female fashion in Shanghai movies in the 1920s and 1930s』. Additionally, the festival launched the first issue of its academic journal, Journal of Eutopia Art and Culture, offering a new platform for cross-cultural film studies.
