Faculty and Collaborators

Hans Vandierendonck is Professor of high-performance and data-intensive computing at Queen’s University Belfast. His research interests are in compilers, runtime systems and architectures for parallel systems with special attention to the programmability of such systems. Hans also has a vested interested in computer architecture, and particularly in cache architecture, prediction and performance evaluation. More information can be found on his homepage https://blogs.qub.ac.uk/dipsa/personal-page-hans-vandierendonck/.

Bronis de Supinski is Professor at Queen’s (part-time appointment). He is an expert in large-scale computing with significant experience in the provisioning and deployment of such systems. More information on his homepage https://people.llnl.gov/desupinski1.

Peter Kilpatrick is Reader in the High Performance and Distributed Computing research cluster in the School of Electronics, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Queen’s University Belfast. He has a long-held interest in the pragmatic use of formal specification notations to model and reason about systems, most recently parallel/distributed systems built using parallel patterns (algorithmic skeletons). More information can be found on http://www.cs.qub.ac.uk/~p.kilpatrick/.

Thai Son Mai is Senior Lecturer in the Centre for Intelligent and Sustainable Computing (CISC) in the School of Electronics, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Queen’s University Belfast. He specialises in data mining and artificial intelligence. He specialises in time series analysis. More information: https://pure.qub.ac.uk/en/persons/thai-son-mai.

Yang Hua is Lecturer in the Centre for Intelligent and Sustainable Computing (CISC) in the School of Electronics, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Queen’s University Belfast. His research interests are in fundamental research topics and real-world applications in computer vision and machine learning. More information: https://pure.qub.ac.uk/en/persons/yang-hua.

Amir Sabbagh Molahosseini is a Lecturer in the Centre for Intelligent and Sustainable Computing (CISC) in the School of Electronics, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Queen’s University Belfast. His research interests are in computer arithmetic and transprecise computing, with applications to machine learning and cryptography.
