Canvas for Support Staff

This practical session will introduce you to the tools and features that can be used to manage and support a Queen’s teaching module. It will present the various user roles defined for Queen’s staff and explain the permissions associated with each. Focus will be on Canvas tools and features which help to facilitate communication of information to students, file and content management, managing assignments, grades and student feedback. This is an easily digestible starting point for administrative and support staff who support and administer Canvas VLE for their school.

- Setting up your Account and Notifications
- Communicating with Students
- Creating Groups
- Creating Assignments
- Uploading and Embedding Files
Prerequisite: You must have a current Canvas account in order to participate in this workshop
