Suggest a Book for the Library
Help us shape the AFBI Library book collection. We welcome suggestions for books that support your work or research area. If there’s a title you think would be useful for you or your colleagues, in either print or e-book format, you can submit a suggestion online using our Book Proposal Form: 👉 AFBI Library Book Proposal Form
Your recommendations can help ensure the library collection remains current, relevant, and closely aligned with AFBI’s research and work programmes.
If you have any questions about making a suggestion, please contact the Library team – we’re always happy to help.

Accessing Standards
Did you know that the Library can help you access British Standards, International Standards and other recognised standards needed to carry out your AFBI work?
If a standard you require isn’t already available, you can request that the library purchases a print copy. Just send us the standard no. and title with a brief note on how it supports your work. We’ll advise on availability, access and any usage restrictions.

Book Swap
A new book swap bookcase is now located in the AFBI Newforge Library, currently stocked with a selection of titles kindly donated by the wife of the late Ian Rea, former AFBI colleague.
Staff are warmly invited to browse the collection and take any books that catch their interest. You are also encouraged to contribute by leaving any books you’ve finished reading, helping to keep the collection fresh and shared among colleagues.
