Trees of Ireland Display
This spring, Special Collections is celebrating the trees of Ireland by displaying a selection of books on the subject from the Hibernica Collection.
The chosen publications feature trees, woods and forests from across the island, and examine their environmental, mythical and spiritual significance. Titles include: If Trees Could Talk: The Story of Woodlands Around Belfast; Irish trees: myths, legends & folklore; Native trees & forests of Ireland and Trees of inspiration: sacred trees and bushes of Ireland.
The display can be viewed in the exhibition area on the first floor of the McClay Library.
