Green European Foundation, with the support of Green Foundation Ireland, will host:

Belfast Summer School 2014:

‘Greening the EU in the context of the Eurosceptic Debate’

(Held at Queen’s University Belfast)

Friday 6th – Sunday 8th June 2014

Just two weeks after the European Parliament elections, this exciting Summer School will explore the following and other issues:

What would happen if the UK exits the European Union? What kind of Europe do we want? How do we keep the lights on without Russian Gas?

The Belfast Summer School will provide a timely opportunity to reflect and explore the issues facing the incoming parliament and the European Union generally. The Eurosceptic debate is increasing in intensity, both inside and outside the Eurozone. The crises within the Eurozone and high levels of unemployment in the EU Member States have contributed to this. We are assembling an exciting line-up of speakers and participants from across these islands. The Summer School will have panel sessions with generous Q&A opportunities, World Café workshop, outdoor tour of the locality, music and entertainment, all of which will ensure a stimulating and fun-filled social weekend in the wonderful setting of historic Queen’s University Belfast.
