Senator George J Mitchell delivered the keynote address at the anniversary event to mark 20 years since the Good Friday/Belfast Agreement.

The lecture was part of the Queen’s Policy Engagement series and Mr Robinson’s first public lecture as part of his honorary professorship at the Senator George J. Mitchell Institute for Global Peace, Security and Justice. 

Michelle O’Neill, Sinn Féin Vice-President and Northern leader, addressed the legacy of the Agreement of 1998 and the challenges of Brexit as part of the Policy Engagement Lecture series in October 2018.

Robin Swann, former Leader of the Ulster Unionist Party, called for a unionism “not for sections or factions, but for all” for his Queen’s Policy Engagement Leader’s Lecture in November 2018.

As part of the Queen’s University Policy Engagement Lecture Series, the Tánaiste joined more than 300 people in January 2019 for meaningful discussion, engaged debate and open dialogue on ‘Maintaining the habit of Co-operation’.
