A recent Economic Forum held by Queen’s University Belfast convened leading voices from academia, industry, and government to explore how Northern Ireland can harness artificial intelligence as a catalyst for economic growth and societal progress. The discussions culminated in a compelling vision of Northern Ireland as a distinctive and trusted contributor to the global AI landscape—one that prioritises transparency, ethics, and public confidence.
This report from the Forum outlines key opportunities and challenges, articulates Northern Ireland’s unique strategic advantage, and offers recommendations across five priority areas.
