Antrim Healthcare Library, based in Fern House on the Antrim Hospital site will be closing at 2pm on Tuesday 11th July.

In mid-August 2023, we will be migrating to Ex Libris Alma® Library Services Platform and Primo® Library Discovery Service. The implementation is progressing well and remains on track.

The Alma platform will streamline and optimise our various library workflows, allowing us to provide a more efficient and seamless service to our customers.

With the Primo Discovery Service integrated into our system, users will have access to a unified search experience across our resources. The enhanced discovery features will make it easier for users to find relevant materials, and access digital resources seamlessly.

Our dedicated project team has been working hard to ensure a smooth and successful migration. We are taking great care to migrate data, configure the system, and conduct rigorous testing. Throughout this process, we remain committed to minimising any disruption to our Healthcare Library services.

We are excited about the positive changes this migration will bring to our services and look forward to providing you with an even better experience. Please stay tuned for more information shortly.

The Healthcare Library of Northern Ireland at Altnagelvin Area Hospital, Antrim Area Hospital and Craigavon Area Hospital will be closed on Monday 29th May for the bank holiday.

These branches will reopen on Tuesday 30th May at 9am. Access to e-resources remain available during the closure at: https://healthcarelibrary.qub.ac.uk/

The Medical Library at the Royal Victoria Hospital and the Biomedical Library at QUB Medical Biology Centre will remain open as usual on Monday 29th May.

The Healthcare Library in Fern House at Antrim Area Hospital will be closed on Friday 31st March 2023.

Please email info@healthcarelibrary.qub.ac.uk for help when the library is closed.

Returned books may be left in the Returns Box outside the library door.

All branches of The Healthcare Library of Northern Ireland will be closed on Friday 17th March for the St. Patrick’s Day holiday.

Branches will open as normal on Monday 20th March.

Unfortunately, the Healthcare Library at Antrim Area Hospital will not be open today, Friday 6th January.
