MD Consult Electronic Books

Regular users of MD Consult will already be aware of the great collection of electronic texts available through the database.  These have now been added to the library catalogue so they will be easier to access and pick up when searching for a particular text.  The books available cover a range of specialities and are usually up-to-date and the most current edition.  Examples include:

• William’s textbook of endocrinology (11th edition)
• Hematology (by Hoffman – 5th edition)
• Ophthalmology (by Yanoff – 3rd edition)
• Robbins and Cotran Pathologic Basis of Disease (8th edition)
• Nelson Textbook of Pediatrics (18th edition)

You can use any of the titles by accessing MD Consult directly through Honni e-lib or by searching in the library catalogue for a specific item and clicking on the Honniconnect button once located.  You will need your library username and password to access MD Consult.

For those not familiar with MD Consult: core collection, it is a practical resource to help answer clinical queries for practitioners and brings together a range of medical resources into one integrated online service.  These resources cover e-books, e-journals, Clinics of North America, patient information leaflets and images.
