Belfast Pride is just around the corner! We’ve rounded up the ways you can get involved this July:

Queen’s Pride Picnic
All Queen’s students and staff are invited to the fifth annual Queen’s Pride Picnic on Wednesday 22 July, from 12 noon to 2pm. This event is free and the first 200 registrations will receive a free meal and ice-cream ticket. Celebrations will include music and entertainment.

Sign Making & Tote Bag Painting
Get ready for the Pride Parade and flex your creativity. Join us in the SU Blue Sky Room on Wednesday 22 July, from 2pm–6pm, for an afternoon of sign, banner making and tote bag painting.
All materials will be provided and we will have refreshments available. Drop by any time that suits. More details available are here.

Society Events
The English Society is also hosting a free Pride edition of their Poetry & Pints on Tues 21 July at the Botanic Inn, more info can be found here.

The Big Gay Quiz
The Rainbow Project’s annual Belfast Pride fundraiser returns to The Union Bar to kick off Belfast Pride weekend!
Supported by Taboo, join quiz master Deci and the fabulous Sassie for a night of fun, with all proceeds going to The Rainbow Project. There are incredible prizes to be won and The Union Bar kitchen will be open throughout.
The event takes place Thursday 23 July at 7pm in The Union Bar. This event always sells out, so secure your tickets ASAP here.

Free Breakfast and Pride Parade
QSU will be marching with the National Union of Students NI (NUS-USI) this year and you’re invited to join too. If you fancy a free breakfast and would like to march alongside us as part of the student bloc, register here.
The free breakfast kicks off at 10am at McHugh’s Basement Bar on Saturday, 25 July. There will be face paints, flags and even more freebies, as well as the chance to meet loads of other students. Further details are available here.
From all of us at the Students’ Union, we wish you a great Pride!
