October is upon us, which means it is officially Spooky Season in Belfast! Whether you\u2019re a thrill-seeker or prefer a more chilled experience, Belfast has something for everyone during Halloween. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here\u2019s your guide to the best spooky events and activities happening around your Union and Belfast this Halloween season: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Get crafty at the Students\u2019 Union <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Halloween is the perfect season to get (witch)crafty. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Wed 22 Oct, join us in the SU Lounge from 12-1pm for Spooky Climate Caf\u00e9<\/a> for crafts, and the spookiest stories of all- climate myths! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are hosting a free pumpkin painting afternoon<\/a> in the SU Drawing Room on the building’s second floor from 2-4pm on Wed 22 Oct. There will be lots of healthy treats on offer to help you embrace your spooky spirit in a balanced, feel-good way! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our SU Creative Hour <\/a>will also feature some spooky crafts on Thurs Oct 30. Between 1-2pm, you can craft creepy, cute and creative pieces to take home; complete with some sweet treats! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Get into the Halloween spirit, de-stress, and create something frightful or fun! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Costume Inspo & Scary Socials <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

On Mon 20 Oct, from 1-2pm head to the Swap Shop<\/a> for refreshments, snacks and the chance to pick up some spooky decorations and get some spine-tingling ideas for your Halloween costume from our Handy Helper student volunteers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our Sunday Social<\/a> is also getting into the Halloween spirit on Sun 26 Oct from 1-5pm. Join us for a horrifying scavenger hunt, pumpkin patches, scary movies and more! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Paranormal Tours & Spooky Ghost Stories <\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Get ready for spine-tingling tales as you explore the history of Belfast.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Crumlin Road Gaol is one of Belfast\u2019s most iconic attractions. Step inside, if you dare! The Jail of Horror<\/a> invites you to step inside the Victorian Jail and face your fears on an intense scare-after-scare journey.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Or maybe you\u2019d prefer something more lowkey? Why not lose yourself in a spooky, spine-tingling tale! Kicking off on October 2nd, Frights by Candlelight<\/a> invites you to step into the eerie glow of flickering candles and listen to some haunting tales.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Haunting Bars & Halloween Parties<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

For those looking to party, Mandela Hall will be transformed into a Halloween headbanging ball<\/a>, for Belfast\u2019s biggest rock and metal Halloween night! Expect massive rock and metal riffs, Halloween classics, and a strongly encouraged fancy dress code! Be sure to get your tickets before they sell out! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Union Bar is also getting a spooky makeover! Join us in your favourite spot in Belfast for our free Halloween events, including Union Scary-oke on October 30th for a night of spooky singalongs, and the Demand Less Halloween Ball on October 31st for an evening of fancy dress and frightfully good drink deals! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
