To date, The Pantry has seen 6,000 student visits.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/li><li>During Semester One we distributed over 4,800 free breakfasts in the SU and then in Semester Two we also provided Free Breakfasts for two weeks across three locations on Campus, including in the SU Lounge<\/li><li>We distributed 1,800 Free Meals, in partnership with the University in May during the examination period<\/li><li>We have continued our partnership with the Belfast Trust to deliver Free Sexual Health Clinics every Monday and Tuesday during the academic year, with a Doctor and Nurse on-site<\/li><li>As part of #QUBeWell week, several events were held, such as Chatty Chairs featuring the Wellbeing Wheel, The Gratitude Wall, and the Sensory Space and Zen Den<\/li><li>The SU have supported the SOS bus pilot initiative, in conjunction with the University,. The SOS Bus hosted a pop up every Tuesday evening in the foyer of the McClay library to provide out of hours support for students<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cover\"><span aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-cover__background has-background-dim\"><\/span><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"1024\" class=\"wp-block-cover__image-background wp-image-3449\" has-large-font-size\"><strong>Campaigns<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>We successfully lobbied the University and recieved:<ul><li>Cost-of-Living Payment\u00a0for students, which was distributed at the end of January<\/li><li>Increased funding into\u00a0student financial support funds\u00a0of \u00a3600k<\/li><li>Reduced disciplinary fines<\/li><li>Removal graduation and library fees for the year<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Partnered with White Ribbon NI to sign their charter and develop a 3-year action plan on challenging violence against women and girls.<\/li><li>Worked with the University to implement a Student Guarantor Scheme.\u00a0 The Scheme has been approved and will launch for students in the next academic year<\/li><li>We have awarded over \u00a35,500 from the Parents\u2019 and Carers\u2019 Support Fund.<\/li><li>Joined\u00a0UCU at the picket line during staff strikes over pay, pensions and working conditions, and encouraged\u00a0students to join too<\/li><li>Launched a\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/home.q-su.org\/voice\/campaigns\/signup\/\" target=\"_blank\">Student Campaign Group<\/a>\u00a0for students to get involved in<\/li><li>Continued to meet\u00a0with Course, School and Faculty Reps who\u00a0represent you,\u00a0discussing important academic issues like: assessment and feedback;\u00a0lecture recording; and engagement<\/li><li>Lobbied University leaders\u00a0to extend Covid-era thesis only fee-waivers and stiped extensions for PhD candidates<strong>.<\/strong>\u00a0In response, the University conducted a review as part of their Cost-of-Living Crisis Working Group and has agreed to extend its thesis only fee-wavers to the 2021 PGR cohort<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cover is-light\"><span aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-cover__background has-background-dim\"><\/span><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"2560\" Advice<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>We advised over 2,000 students on a total of 4,216 issues<\/li><li>Helped students unlock over \u00a390K of funding based on the advice we provided<\/li><li>So far, over 600 students have registered to <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.blackbullion.com\/register\" target=\"_blank\">Blackbullion<\/a>, the free digital financial wellbeing platform for all Queen&#8217;s students<\/li><li>Resumed the three weekly drop-in advice sessions where students can call in to get free advice without an appointment<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cover is-light\"><span aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-cover__background has-background-dim\"><\/span><img loading=\"lazy\" and Give)<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>To date, QUB RAG has raised over \u00a39,000 for it&#8217;s 22\/23 charities, Homeplus NI and Pure Mental.<\/li><li>Recent events include collaborations with the Pride Society,  English Society, a raffle at the PPE formal, a night with Queen\u2019s Symphony Orchestra, and dRAG.<\/li><li>The official RAG Cocktail launched in the Union Bar and is available for purchase.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cover\"><span aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-cover__background Societies<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Our annual Freshers\u2019 Fair took place in the new Mandela Hall, with 15,000 students attending. We hosted a Refreshers\u2019 Fair which took place in the Mandela Hall, with 2,500 students attending.<\/li><li>We provided \u00a340,000 of funding to Societies<\/li><li>We helped allocate more than \u00a3100,000 of funding to Sporting Clubs<\/li><li>11 Clubs &amp; Societies were awarded SU Fund It grants of \u00a3500, after submitting successful applications and pitching to a panel of judges.<\/li><li>Our Mini-Conference, &#8220;Leadership in Sport&#8221; took place in Mandela Hall <\/li><li>We have seen a record breaking number of Society Memberships this year! The main winners were:<ul><li>Maebh Reynolds (GOPLUGABLE) who won \u00a310k<\/li><li>Brog\u00e1n Brady &amp; Conleth Mallon (INSTYL) who won \u00a35k<\/li><li>Isaac Gibson (FROM MY PERSPECTIVE) who won \u00a35k<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>24 students completed the InnovateHer Programme and graduated at a celebration event in the Baker McKenzie offices in Belfast City Centre<\/li><li>We ran our What\u2019s the Big Idea? 5 community regeneration projects have been completed to date including a Litter Pick with residents and QUB Sustainability, Community Gardening at Lennoxvale Tree Nursery, and support to plant around 580 native saplings in Malone Playing Fields as part of One Million Trees Project. <\/li><li><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/q-su.org\/VolunteerSU\/Training\/JumpIN\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/q-su.org\/VolunteerSU\/Training\/JumpIN\/\" target=\"_blank\">Jump In<\/a> \u2013 24 activities have been held to support students in accessing and progressing their volunteering journey.&nbsp; Cost of Survival &#8211; 1,872 students voted in this Referendum, with 98% of voters supporting the proposal.<\/li><li>Oppose Increases in Student Tuition and Accommodation Fees &#8211; 1,754 students voted in this Referendum, with 96.2% of voters supporting the proposal.<\/li><li>QUB Should Invest its Substantial Financial Assets in Student-Owned Co-Operatives &#8211;
