Celebrating Pride on Campus

Belfast Pride is just around the corner! We’ve rounded up the ways you can get involved this July:

Queen’s Pride Picnic

All Queen’s students and staff are invited to the annual Queen’s Pride Picnic on Wednesday 23 July, from 12 noon to 2pm. Celebrations will include music, entertainment, food trucks, drinks and an ice-cream cart.

The first 200 registrations will receive a free meal and ice cream ticket. Register here.

Sign, Banner & Bracelet Making

Get ready for the Pride Parade and flex your creativity. We’ll be in the Blue Sky Room on Thursday 24 July, from 3pm to 6pm, making signs, banners and bracelets.

All materials will be provided. Drop by any time that suits. More details available are here.

The Big Gay Quiz

The Rainbow Project’s annual Belfast Pride fundraiser returns to The Union Bar to kick off Belfast Pride weekend!

Supported by Taboo, join quiz master Deci and the fabulous Sassie for a night of fun, with all proceeds going to The Rainbow Project. There are incredible prizes to be won and The Union Bar kitchen will be open throughout.

The event takes place Thursday 24 July at 7pm in The Union Bar. Get your tickets here.

Free Breakfast and Pride Parade

QSU will be marching with the National Union of Students NI (NUS-USI) this year and you’re invited to join too. If you fancy a free breakfast and would like to march alongside us as part of the student bloc, register here.

The free breakfast kicks off at 10am at McHugh’s Basement Bar on Saturday 26 July. There will be face paints, flags and even more freebies, as well as the chance to meet loads of other students. Further details are available here.

From all of us at the Students’ Union, we wish you a great Pride!
