This toolkit brings together everything you need for that essential first conversation, plus guidance on planning structured and effective sessions throughout the semester.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>1. Knowing this allows you to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Understand what tools they already have<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Integrate those tools into your sessions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Spot gaps (e.g., AT training not yet taken up)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Help them get the full benefit of their support package<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Why Session Planning Matters<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Structured sessions provide clarity, ensure that learning goals are met, and create a sense of progress for the student. A well-planned session helps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Identify areas that need further support.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Keep the focus on key learning objectives.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Track student progress over time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>\ud83d\udd39 What assistive software do they use regularly\u2014if any?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Ask: <em>\u201cHave you used any of your software yet? Planning Your Tutoring Sessions<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>Once the foundation is set, the rest of your support sessions can follow a simple, structured flow.
