A Fantastic Afternoon with Texthelp: Training, Tips, and Tasty Lunch!

Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting a training and information session with Louise and Niamh from Texthelp/Everway, and it was an absolute highlight! They brought not only their expertise but also their enthusiasm, making the session both informative and engaging.

The afternoon was packed with practical demonstrations of Texthelp’s fantastic range of tools. We delved into Read&Write, EquatIO, Claro read, Global Tasks and OrbitNote, learning how they can transform accessibility for both students and staff. What stood out was how flexible and user-friendly these tools are—they’re designed to make learning and working more inclusive for everyone. Whether it’s helping students who are neurodiverse or creating accessible documents for staff, the training made it clear just how impactful these resources can be.

The Texthelp team answered loads of questions, shared real-world use cases, and even gave us some handy tips for getting the most out of the tools. Everyone left feeling empowered to try them out and share the knowledge with colleagues and students.

Of course, we can’t forget the delicious lunch—a spread of sandwiches, sweet treats, and plenty of tea and coffee to keep us fuelled. It was the perfect opportunity to network, chat about accessibility, and exchange ideas with others in the room.

This event was a brilliant reminder of the importance of accessible technology in education. It’s not just about compliance—it’s about creating opportunities for everyone to thrive.

Don’t Miss the Next Training!

If you enjoyed this session or missed out, don’t worry—we’ve got another one coming up! On Tuesday 20th February 2025, we’ll be hosting a training afternoon on MindView. This will be another fantastic opportunity to learn about mind-mapping tools that can supercharge organisation, planning, and productivity for both staff and students.

Keep an eye on your inbox for more details, and don’t forget to save the date. See you there!
