This spring, Special Collections is celebrating the trees of Ireland by displaying a selection of books on the subject from the Hibernica Collection. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The chosen publications feature trees, woods and forests from across the island, and examine their environmental, mythical and spiritual significance. Titles include: If Trees Could Talk: The Story of Woodlands Around Belfast<\/em>; Irish trees: myths, legends & folklore<\/em>; Native trees & forests of Ireland<\/em> and Trees of inspiration: sacred trees and bushes of Ireland. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The display can be viewed in the exhibition area on the first floor of the McClay Library.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
