If you&#8217;re going to install to multiple machines then you can simply copy the Installer app to the other computers, saving yourself a few GB download per Mac.<\/p>\n<p>For future use you may wish to make a bootable USB drive &#8211; here&#8217;s how:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/forums.macrumors.com\/showpost.php?p=18081307&amp;postcount=3\">From MacRumors forums<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Apple&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/support.apple.com\/kb\/HT5856\">TechNote<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Sadly Carbon Copy Cloner no longer has a simple button to do this, but <a href=\"http:\/\/diskmakerx.com\">DiskMaker X <\/a>does.<\/p>\n<p>Note that as Apple updates Mavericks the installer App will be updated too; you can re-download it by visiting the &#8216;Purchases&#8217; tab in the App Store, then re-make the USB drive.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After downloading the Mavericks installer from the AppStore you may wish to make a backup copy of the &#8216;Install OS X Mavericks&#8217; app since it will normally be deleted after a successful install.
