Sadly, we weren’t able to welcome its 400 delegates to Belfast but have been convening panels online.

One such panel was run jointly with Queen’s Policy Engagement, and below is an audio recording of the event. The panel entitled “Why you need to up your Trade Twitter game for Brexit”, was convened originally by Prof Simon Usherwood (University of Surrey), chaired by Prof Katy Hayward of Queen’s, and included presenters Dmitry Grozoubinski (ExplainTrade.com; Strathclyde University), Dr David Henig (European Centre For International Political Economy), and Dr Anna Jerzewska.

Help for navigating the ins and outs of Brexit has been on hand from a variety of experts on trade who – via the medium of Twitter – have guided scholars, the wider public and (we hope) politicians through these very complex issues. This panel is as much about Twitter as Brexit – with tips and reflections from experts whose real world experience is even more impressive than their GIF game.

Appropriately, the event was live-tweeted by @Usherwood.

An audio recording from the recent University Association of Contemporary European Studies annual conference.

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false

41

post-7104","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-europe

Katy Hayward

9395
9395
["authors
publish

search
["featured_image
["title","jetpack_featured_media_url","jetpack_sharing_enabled","amp_enabled
["GET
