{"id":2623,"date":"2017-03-22T15:47:22","date_gmt":"2017-03-22T15:47:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/qpol.qub.ac.uk\/?p=2623"},"modified":"2017-03-22T15:47:22","modified_gmt":"2017-03-22T15:47:22","slug":"eaton-lecture-2017","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.qub.ac.uk\/qpol\/eaton-lecture-2017\/","title":{"rendered":"The 2017 Eaton Lecture \u2013 Universities and Urban Regions: A Partnership for Prosperity"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Eaton Lecture&nbsp;will take place at Queen\u2019s University (on the Lanyon campus) on <strong>Thursday 23 March 2017<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Organised by the Chief Executives\u2019 Club at Queen\u2019s and The Centre of Canadian Studies (within the Queen\u2019s School of Natural and Built Environment), guest speaker Professor Meric Gertler, President of the University of Toronto, will give the lecture, exploring: <strong><em>\u201cUniversities and Urban Regions: A Partnership for Prosperity\u201d.&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In his address, Professor Gertler will cite a range of successful partnerships across the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A panel discussion, comp\u00e8red by BBC presenter William Crawley, will further explore the topic, from national, European and local perspectives, following Professor Gertler\u2019s presentation.
