It aims\u00a0to support the policymaking process by invigorating\u00a0an ongoing dialogue between academics and those charged with developing, informing, implementing and evaluating public policy &#8211; locally, nationally and internationally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How can we help?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We will\u00a0deliver our\u00a0<a href=\"\/about\/\">vision<\/a>\u00a0through through our\u00a0<a href=\"\/\">Policy Blog<\/a>, our\u00a0<a href=\"\/events\/\">events programme<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"\/\">social media<\/a>\u00a0channels and more. However, our ultimate goal is\u00a0to ensure opportunities for\u00a0more substantive collaborative work and engagement between academics and\u00a0those involved in the policymaking process are realised.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our academics are available for a wide range of policy engagement activities, whether it an informal briefing, support with a project or report or anything in between. This might include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Informal meetings or conversations to clarify complicated points in a particular policy area<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contributing to roundtable discussions with a range of experts and policymakers, public or closed-door<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Delivering expert briefings or seminars to civil servants, legislators and others<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Providing evidence to parliamentary committee meetings<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contributing to the development of government reports<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Membership of official advisory bodies or working groups<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Formal consultancy arrangements whereby an academic spends an amount of time in a government department<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to engage with us<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>It can often prove challenging&nbsp;for non-academic research users&nbsp;to find&nbsp;the relevant academic&nbsp;and a suitable&nbsp;point in time to initiate engagement. Queen&#8217;s Policy Engagement is here to point you in the right direction and facilitate that early-stage engagement.
