The session provided a dynamic, personalized introduction to the aesthetics and cultural practice of Chinese calligraphy, including briefing about the fascinating history of Chinese characters (\u6c49\u5b57 h\u00e0nz\u00ec), their meanings and their stroke order (\u7b14\u987a b\u01d0sh\u00f9n) before having a try themselves! Practising on water mats (\u6c34\u5199\u5e03 shu\u01d0xi\u011bb\u00f9) with traditional Chinese brushes (\u6bdb\u7b14 m\u00e1ob\u01d0) means that there were endless opportunities to practice without from top to bottom, from left to right and from outside to inside to close frames last &#8211; a task that proved easier said than done!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-jetpack-slideshow Chinese name (\u4e2d\u6587\u540d\u5b57 Zh\u014dngw\u00e9n m\u00edngzi) by student volunteer and calligraphy expert, Xiaoxiang, who also explained the meaning and pronunciation of each character and
