As a magician (\u9b54\u672f\u5e08 m\u00f3sh\u00f9sh\u012b), I&#8217;ve been participating in a sequence of magic performances <em>(\u9b54\u672f\u8868\u6f14 m\u00f3sh\u00f9 bi\u01ceoy\u01cen)<\/em> for children since the festival is just around the corner.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>Based in a cultural and recreational centre in Wuhan, Hubei province, I often perform magic shows on weekends mainly targeted for children and their families. The performances, in general, walk the audience through modern and ancient times with relative tricks (\u620f\u6cd5 x\u00ecf\u01ce), which are a real feast for the eyes. Photo credit: Rao Jie<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>This show enjoys great popularity as it engages the younger generation in some wonderful experiences, which deliver both happiness and the message that <strong>nothing is impossible<\/strong> (\u4e00\u5207\u7686\u6709\u53ef\u80fd y\u00edqi\u00e8 ji\u0113 y\u01d2u k\u011bn\u00e9ng). During this show, children are exposed to magic moments and incredible interactions. Theatres are always filled with laughter and wonder. It is the greatest thing in the world to see children\u2019s happy and amazed faces. Meanwhile, adults, mainly the parents, also are given a chance to laugh and wonder carefreely (\u80e1\u731c\u4e71\u60f3 h\u00fa c\u0101i lu\u00e0n xi\u01ceng) like children \u2013 being curious (\u597d\u5947 h\u00e0oq\u00ed) about and believing in everything with a pure heart.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While we are unable to watch June&#8217;s magic show on site in China, there is still a chance for you to enjoy one of her performances recorded for our Chinese New Year 2021 celebration.
