{"id":2985,"date":"2022-12-09T02:52:23","date_gmt":"2022-12-09T02:52:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.qub.ac.uk\/mandarinchinese\/?p=2985"},"modified":"2023-01-06T14:46:11","modified_gmt":"2023-01-06T14:46:11","slug":"drawing-competition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.qub.ac.uk\/mandarinchinese\/2022\/12\/09\/drawing-competition\/","title":{"rendered":"CNY2023 Drawing Competition"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Language Centre has been proactively leading a number of language and culture-associated events, including the branded Chinese New Year celebrations, at Queen\u2019s for years and we are looking to further engaging with students, staff members, as well as members of the public, to enable better inclusion and interaction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To welcome the Year of the Rabbit (starting from Sun 22<sup>nd<\/sup> January 2023), we would like to invite you to join in this CNY2023 Drawing Competition with the theme of the Rabbit (Chinese character: \u5154, pronounced as <em>t\u00f9<\/em>, similar to \u2018too\/two\u2019). All forms and techniques of presentation are encouraged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The competition starts from the date when it is advertised and will <strong>close on Friday 13<sup>th<\/sup> January 2023<\/strong>. The finished drawings (one drawing each participant) should be saved as an electronic copy (JEPG\/JPG format, max. 2MB) and emailed as an attachment to Dr Liang WANG at <a href=\"mailto:Liang.Wang@qub.ac.uk\">Liang.Wang@qub.ac.uk<\/a>, using \u2018CNY2023 Drawing Competition\u2019 in the subject line. In the email, please briefly include a bio, including your name, your status (e.g. educational\/professional background) and the illustration of your idea on the presentation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All the entries will be uploaded <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/go.qub.ac.uk\/CCP2023\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"http:\/\/go.qub.ac.uk\/CCP2023\" target=\"_blank\">online <\/a><\/strong>for exhibition. A judge panel will make a decision on the result which will be announced shortly after the closing date. The winners\u2019 drawings may be used for further promotional purposes with acknowledgement.
