{"id":4981,"date":"2018-03-26T10:17:09","date_gmt":"2018-03-26T09:17:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.qub.ac.uk\/library\/?p=4981"},"modified":"2018-03-26T10:17:09","modified_gmt":"2018-03-26T09:17:09","slug":"important-change-to-hefces-oa-policy-begins-1-april-2018","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.qub.ac.uk\/library\/2018\/03\/26\/important-change-to-hefces-oa-policy-begins-1-april-2018\/","title":{"rendered":"Important change to OA Policy for REF2021 begins 1 April 2018"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.qub.ac.uk\/library\/files\/2018\/03\/Open-Access-Avatar.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright  wp-image-4982\" alt=\"Open Access Avatar\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.qub.ac.uk\/library\/files\/2018\/03\/Open-Access-Avatar-300x300.png\" width=\"210\" height=\"210\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>With just a few days to go, it\u2019s the final countdown to\u00a0 new OA requirements for REF eligibility.<\/p>\n<p>From 1 April 2018 onwards,\u00a0the OA Policy for REF2021\u00a0requires the accepted manuscript for all journal articles and published conference papers to be deposited in Pure <b>no later than three months after the date of<\/b> <b>acceptance <\/b>(previously three months after the date of publication).<\/p>\n<p>The accepted manuscript is the author\u2019s final draft, after the changes from peer review have been incorporated but before it is sent to the publisher for typesetting.
