This grant aims to support universities in meeting the requirements of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rcuk.ac.uk\/research\/openaccess\/\">RCUK Policy of Open Access<\/a>, in particular meeting the cost of article processing charges (APC) to make articles open access through the publisher.<\/p>\n<p>During the period the Open Access Team recorded a total of 229 Queen\u2019s publications that have arisen from RCUK funding. A combination of green and gold open access resulted in 112 papers meeting RCUK policy, giving Queen\u2019s an overall compliance rating of 49%.<\/p>\n<p>A total APC spend of \u00a356,892 enabled 36 RCUK funded articles to be made open access through a number of publishers.
