{"id":1177,"date":"2011-05-03T16:47:09","date_gmt":"2011-05-03T15:47:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.qub.ac.uk\/library\/?p=1177"},"modified":"2011-05-03T16:47:09","modified_gmt":"2011-05-03T15:47:09","slug":"inter-library-loan-service-update-re-possible-delays","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.qub.ac.uk\/library\/2011\/05\/03\/inter-library-loan-service-update-re-possible-delays\/","title":{"rendered":"Inter-Library Loan Service \u2013 update re possible delays"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt\"><span style=\"font-size: small\">We are continuing to experience delays in supplying some inter-library loan requests due to maintenance work being carried out at the British Library.<strong><span>\u00a0 <\/span><\/strong><span lang=\"EN\">Parts of the building have been closed temporarily, leading to the unavailability of some items. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt\"><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span lang=\"EN\">Whenever we are unable to obtain an item from the the British Library we then try other locations.\u00a0\u00a0This\u00a0 takes time and may delay the process by a week or more.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt\"><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span lang=\"EN\">The British Library recently issued a statement saying that their priority is\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span lang=\"EN\">\u201cto get higher use collection items back in service as quickly as possible, with some of the most heavily-used material now scheduled to be back in use by mid-April\u201d.<\/span><strong><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt\"><span lang=\"EN\"><span style=\"font-size: small\">If you have any concerns, or simply want an update on your request please contact the Inter-Library Loans Department on 9097 6136 (McClay Library) or 9063 2551 (Medical Library).<\/span><\/span><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are continuing to experience delays in supplying some inter-library loan requests due to maintenance work being carried out at the British Library.\u00a0 Parts of the building have been closed temporarily, leading to the unavailability of some items.
