{"id":553,"date":"2023-03-01T11:50:21","date_gmt":"2023-03-01T11:50:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.qub.ac.uk\/lc\/?page_id=553"},"modified":"2023-03-31T15:12:47","modified_gmt":"2023-03-31T14:12:47","slug":"sound-of-language-festival","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.qub.ac.uk\/lc\/cultural-diversity\/sound-of-language-festival\/","title":{"rendered":"The Sound of Language Festival"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Welcome to the QUB Multilingual Poetry and Music Festival!<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We are excited to invite you to our annual multilingual poetry festival, where we celebrate the beauty and diversity of languages through the art of poetry. <br><br>The festival will take place on Thursday 23rd March, from 6:30pm &#8211; 8:30pm in the Cube, One Elmwood.&nbsp; In between the readings, there will be musical performances by local artists, as well as refreshments and opportunities to mingle with students, staff and other attendees.<br><br>This year, we are inviting you to share poetry you create using your home languages or poetry you want to share in a language you have knowledge of. We believe that poetry has the power to transcend language barriers and bring people together, and we hope that this festival will be a chance for people from all walks of life to come together and enjoy the beauty of words.<br><br>We would be honoured if you could join us for this special event.
