British Journal of Social Work now available

BJSW

The HSC Library subscription to The British Journal of Social Work has been enhanced to include FREE FULL TEXT access up to and including the most recent issue.  Previously there was a one year embargo which meant you did not have access to the current year – this is no longer the case.    This extends coverage from 1996- present, providing HSC Social Work staff with instant access to high quality, relevant information on their PC, tablet or phone. The HSC library Service is available free of charge to HSC staff.   Register online to access this and other library resources, it only takes a few minutes, and your login details should be with you within 2 working days after you have verified your email address by responding to the email that is sent to you when you submit the online registration form.

e-Learning for Healthcare website: access for HSC users

If you are a HSC staff member who wishes to access content on NHS Health Education England’s e-Learning for Healthcare website, you should register with the site using your hscni.net email address. This includes hscni.net emails prefixed with belfasttrust, southerntrust etc. You can register at: https://portal.e-lfh.org.uk/

If you don’t have a hscni.net email (e.g. you might have a @health-ni.gov.uk email), then you cannot currently use the e-LfH website. However, NHS Health Education England have indicated that they are hoping to roll out OpenAthens (or alternative Shibboleth) access for Northern Ireland users. They have not given a timescale for this, but we will keep you informed.

If you have any questions about this resource, please contact e-LfH directly: https://portal.e-lfh.org.uk/contact_us
