Eamon Kevin Byers

Eamon is currently completing a PhD in the School of English at Queen’s University Belfast. His thesis is entitled ‘Folk kan synge hit bet than I – The Medievalism of English Folkmusic, 1750-2013′. His research interests include folkmusic of the British and Irish Isles, folk culture, medievalism and medieval drama.

Craig Wallace

Craig is a final year PhD student in the School of English at Queen’s University Belfast. His research interests include medievalism, spectral technologies, and the treatment of the past in Gothic literature, weird fiction and British horror cinema. His thesis has a particular focus on the writing of M. R. James, Arthur Machen and Nigel Kneale.

Chris Kitson

Chris is a second year PhD student in the School of English at Queen’s University Belfast. His thesis examines the legacies of the sublime in modern literature and thought. Among his research interests are the stories of M. R. James.

 

Rachel Reid

Rachel is a first year PhD student in the School of English at Queen’s University Belfast. Her thesis will examine the place of medieval books in the libraries of early modern bibliophiles. Her research interests include book history and narratives of periodization, with a specific focus on the work and reputation of sixteenth-century polymath and occultist John Dee.
