On 23 June 2026, the Journal of Eutopia Art and Culture was introduced at the China Research Forum NI, held at the McClay Library, Queen’s University Belfast. The forum brought together researchers working across a wide range of fields, including history, education, sociology, translation studies, health sciences, film, and cultural studies.
During the session, Xiaoxiang Ma, Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Eutopia Art and Culture, introduced the journal and its connection with the Eutopia Arthouse Film Festival. The introduction outlined the journal’s aim to provide an open and supportive platform for work in arts, humanities, film, culture, and related areas. It also emphasised the journal’s interest in encouraging interdisciplinary conversations and supporting emerging researchers.
The event concluded with a panel discussion on the future of the China Research Forum NI. The discussion considered the long-term vision of the forum, the challenges faced by Chinese students and researchers in the UK, and the kinds of support that universities and research communities can provide. Participants also reflected on how the forum might develop beyond individual events and become a more sustainable space for academic exchange, collaboration, and community-building.
The Journal of Eutopia Art and Culture was pleased to take part in the forum and looks forward to continuing conversations with researchers, students, and cultural practitioners across different disciplines.
