We invited Zen master Ziyun Ho and Guzheng music artist Wei Deng to present the essence of Zen connotation from an art perspective. He graduated with a degree in English from Beijing Foreign Studies University. Ziyun has travelled to over forty countries and regions, eventually secluding himself for sixteen years in Mountain Song to meditate, attain enlightenment, and study calligraphy and painting. He became a disciple of Shi Yongxin, the abbot of the Shaolin Temple in Mountain Song, China, adopting the Dharma name Shi Yanlong. He is recognized as a 34th generation Shaolin Zen (Chan) and martial arts successor and holds a 7th Dan in Chinese martial arts.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.qub.ac.uk\/eutopiafilmfest\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/349\/2024\/03\/Weixin-Image_20240308005005-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2278\" height=\"1280\"><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Ziyun has been invited to teach in multiple countries and regions, spreading and promoting the tradition of Zen (Chan) Buddhism, amassing over six thousand disciples around the world. In 2014, he founded the Mountain Song Art Studio\uff08\u5d69\u5c71\u753b\u9a7f\uff09, and his artworks have been featured in national tours such as the \u2018Shifang Mountain Wind\u2019\uff08\u5341\u65b9\u5c71\u98ce\u5168\u56fd\u5de1\u5c55\uff09and the Mountain Wind Exhibition\uff08\u5c71\u98ce\u5c55\uff09 at the Today Art Museum\uff08\u4eca\u65e5\u7f8e\u672f\u9986\uff09, as well as in the Mountain Wind art book(\u5c71\u98ce\u753b\u518c\uff09 published the same year, and in Dunhuang Art\uff08\u6566\u714c\u7f8e\u672f\uff09and Oriental Art\u00b7Master\uff08\u4e1c\u65b9\u827a\u672f\u00b7\u5927\u5bb6\uff09<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.qub.ac.uk\/eutopiafilmfest\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/349\/2024\/03\/Weixin-Image_20240308004523-1-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1307\">From 2016 to the present, he has held solo exhibitions and published personal collections of calligraphy and paintings in various countries including Russia (at the Dimitrovgrad Art Museum, Russia), the United Kingdom (London), Italy (Milan), Spain (Madrid), Argentina, and also within China. In 2006, he participated in the filming of the Discovery Channel&#8217;s documentary <i style=\"font-size: inherit\">Fight Quest<\/i>, which aired on China Central Television&#8217;s Channel 10.
