 val (EAFF) is a non-profit international film exhibition focused on foster
 ing artistic exchange and development among young filmmakers. EAFF is orga
 nized by the Queen’s University Belfast\, and funded by the 2024 Queen
 ’s Annual Fund.\n\nEAFF\, rooted in Northern Ireland\, features a sectio
 n called ‘Northern Ireland Stars\,’ showcasing films by local filmmake
 rs or those filmed in Northern Ireland\, offering a glimpse into the regio
 n’s rich culture and compelling stories.\n\nWe will screen a film produc
 ed by the young filmmaker Dylan from Northern Ireland\, offering you a dee
 per insight into life in Northern Ireland.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOld Sm
 oke Families (66min)\n\n\nOld Smoke Families follows a young man named Ben
 \, who is involved in the criminal underbelly of his home city\, but seeks
  to leave it behind for a better life for him and his fiancée\, Kaylee. I
 n order to so\, he has the boss of his family set up by having drugs plant
 ed on his person\, landing him in prison. However\, upon being found out t
 o be behind it\, in order to protect himself\, Ben has to go deeper into t
 he crime world in order to guarantee protection for himself and his family
  before his former boss\, Karl\, gets out and wages a full-blown war betwe
 en all of the families in order to get to him.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
