 ments\, exploring their lasting impact on Shanghai and the broader traject
 ory of Chinese modernity.\n\nGu Si-Yang: Gu Si-Yang has devoted a signific
 ant portion of his academic career to the study of modern and contemporary
  Chinese art history\, cultural policy and ideology. He holds a Bachelor 
 of Fine Art from Griffith University and a Bachelor of Fine Art with Honou
 rs from the University of New South Wales in Australia. He subsequently c
 ompleted a Master of Arts in Art History at the University of Sussex in th
 e United Kingdom and is currently a doctoral candidate at Queen’s Univer
 sity Belfast in the United Kingdom.\n\n
