Canvas Training – Student Guide

There are a number of training and support resources available to you.

Canvas Student Orientation Course

The Canvas Student Orientation Course provides key information to help you get started with Canvas. Familiarise yourself with the Key Topics in the online course before you begin to use Canvas. Information on the Student App is also contained in the course.

Please Note: if you are using the Student App, make sure that you use the full Canvas web application on your desktop or laptop rather than the Student App for submission of assignments to ensure that all submission functionality is available to you!

Drop-in Sessions

Over the course of 3 weeks from end of August to middle of September, your Student Reps will be delivering Canvas Orientation drop-in sessions in the Student Union Lounge – it’s located on Elmwood Avenue – it’s a great place to hang out if you have a bit of downtime between classes!

There will be 6x half day drop-in sessions which you can avail of. Student Reps will be delivering short focused demonstrating of Canvas and taking time to answer your questions. This will allow you to get a feel for Canvas, to download the app and see how it all works. You don’t need to register, simply go along on the day/time that suits best.
