Contributions

Presenting at a conference is a key part of communication for any researcher or academic and a chance to learn about the newest developments in your research field.

Traditionally, there have been a range of activities during Burwalls, such as:

  • Lightning talks,
  • Short and medium academic presentations,
  • Keynote talks,
  • Workshops,
  • Poster sessions,
  • Open discussion sessions.

Burwalls is always keen to involve and encourage new postgraduate and postdoctoral teachers and newly appointed lecturers who are at the start of their teaching careers.

Please let the organiser know if you have any suggestions or ideas for activities in this area (see details below).

Abstract submission

We encourage submissions on the themes of:

  • Developing teaching methodologies,
  • Innovations in teaching,
  • Carrying out research or consultation as a statistics lecturer,
  • Career and professional development,
  • Other ideas are also welcome.

There will be a prize for best and second best contribution.

If you would like to discuss any ideas about a contribution to the conference this year, please get in touch (see details below).
