Dermot was appointed by the Northern Ireland Education Minister to chair the NI Curriculum Taskforce Science Working Group, tasked with redesigning the Northern Ireland Science curriculum from foundation stage to Key Stage 3 (covering primary and secondary schools ages ~5-14).
