Welcome to the Antimatter & many-body theory group of Dermot Green at Queen’s University Belfast!

We develop theoretical and computational methods to describe the interactions of antimatter with atoms, molecules and condensed matter, to provide fundamental insight required to support and direct experiment, inform other theory, and develop antimatter-based technologies. The group director is Dr Dermot Green.

Dermot gives invited talk at the Strasbourg Seminars, ESCMQC 2024

Dermot gave an invited talk at ESCMQC (European Seminar on Computational Methods in Quantum Chemistry) 2024 which featured invited talks from ~30 of the leading “young” 🙂 researchers working on electronic structure/quantum chemistry.

It was held in the grand surroundings of the Royal Danish Academy of Sciences and Letters (see image below of the presentation room), Copenhagen, Denmark.

Dermot presented an overview of his group’s work on many-body theory methods for antimatter (positron and Ps) interactions with atoms and molecules.
