In response to the measures applied by the UK Government to limit the spread of Covid-19 (coronavirus), the AFBI Library has been providing a fully remote service since Monday 23rd<\/sup>\u00a0March.\u00a0 The AFBI Library will continue to provide a remote service until further notice and would like to remind and update AFBI Library members of the services, support, and resources available to them.<\/p>\n

As a predominately electronic library, AFBI Library members can continue to use and access all library resources and services, with full support provided by library staff working remotely. Providing a remote service during recent months has also allowed us to explore new ways of supporting you.\u00a0 For example, we have introduced a library chat service that enables AFBI Library members to instantly contact one of our Specialist Librarians.\u00a0 Further information on library chat and all other services and support available to AFBI Library Members is listed below.<\/p>\n

Please note that all AFBI Libraries remain open for AFBI staff to access.<\/strong><\/p>\n

All current AFBI and QUB book loans now have an extended due date of\u00a025th<\/sup> September 2020<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

AFBI Library Chat<\/strong><\/p>\n

A new library chat feature has been added to the AFBI Library homepage that enables all Library members to contact our Specialist Librarians, Patrick and Kriss.\u00a0 Simply click on the \u2018AFBI Library Chat<\/a>\u2019 tab on the right hand side of our homepage, submit your query, and Patrick or Kriss will respond.\u00a0 AFBI Library chat is staffed 10.00am to 4.00pm Monday to Friday<\/p>\n

Endnote, Web of Science, literature searches, or anything else \u2013 get in touch and say hello!<\/p>\n

Using AFBI Library e-resources<\/strong><\/p>\n

As a predominately electronic library, AFBI Library members can access all e-resources from either on-site (at AFBI) or off-site (from home).<\/p>\n

When you are accessing e-resources from either on-site or off-site, you will need to use your Library login, this is the\u00a0username and password<\/strong>\u00a0provided when you joined the Library, unless you have changed your password.\u00a0 If you are unsure of your AFBI Library username and\/or password, please get in touch via\u00a0afbilib@qub.ac.uk<\/a><\/p>\n
